Privacy Policy

The short version

  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no ad trackers, and loads nothing from third parties.
  • We only have your email address if you signed up for a launch alert, and we use it for that alone.
  • Unsubscribing deletes your address. You can also ask us to delete it, or anything else, at any time.
  • We never sell or share your data for advertising.

Who we are

Pellux Entertainment is the games label of Pellux Network ("we", "us"), a company based in the United States.Pellux Network is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us athello@pellux.net about anything in this policy.

This policy covers this website, pelluxentertainment.com, and our launch email lists. Our games have their own privacy policies, published with each game.

What we collect and why

Launch email list

If you sign up to hear when a game launches, we store:

  • your email address;
  • which list you joined (for example, the Print Run launch);
  • when you signed up and when you confirmed;
  • which version of the signup notice you agreed to.
Purpose
To email you about that game's launch, and nothing else.
Legal basis
Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You give it by signing up and confirming through the link we email you.
Kept
Until you unsubscribe, which deletes your address immediately, or until we retire the list. If you never confirm, your signup is deleted automatically after 30 days.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server logs each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page.

Purpose
To keep the site secure and working, for example to spot abuse and fix errors.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Kept
14 days, then deleted automatically.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your message and address to reply, and keep them as long as needed to deal with your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and tracking

None. This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and it doesn't load fonts, images or scripts from anyone else's servers. That is why there's no cookie banner.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts this website and the email list database.
  • Resend, Inc. (United States) delivers our emails, and keeps delivery logs for a limited time.
  • Google (Google Workspace) hosts our inbox, for emails you send us.

Our email list is stored on our server in Germany. Because we're based in the United States, we access and manage it from there, and Resend and Google are US companies too. Where the law requires it, data sent to the US is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We don't sell your personal data, or share it for advertising, to anyone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have it corrected, or deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.

The quickest way to withdraw consent is the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. For anything else, emailhello@pellux.net and we'll respond within one month. We'll honour these requests wherever you live. If you're in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you're in the United States

We don't sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under California and other US state privacy laws, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. You won't be treated differently for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: this site doesn't track you across websites, or over time, in the first place. Every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends one of these signals.

Children

Our email lists are for people aged 16 and over, and this website isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete their details.

Security

Everything on this site is served over HTTPS. The list is stored on a locked-down server that only we can access, and it's used for nothing except sending the emails you asked for.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
